Gary Diocese Defends Not Investigating Fr. Daniel McCormack

When confronted about why the Diocese of Gary isn't investigating whether anyone was abused in that Diocese, spokesman Brian Chadwick said that McCormack isn't a priest of the Diocese of Gary and no one has come forward with allegations of abuse. Chadwick went on to state that the Diocese of Gary is "diligent" in its investigations of abuse.

Well, that's news to me. I represent a victim of abuse against a priest of the Diocese of Gary. That Diocese waited 6 months before removing the priest in question. They had spoken with the victim and still did nothing! If that's diligence, I wouldn't want to see what they characterize as lackadaisical!
