FDA Warns Bausch & Lomb

In a sharply worded letter to the makers of ReNu contact lens solution, the FDA has rebuked Bausch & Lomb for failure to report some 35 cases of fungal infection in Singapore. The infections were reported to the Rochester NY based executives and an FDA inspection of the company's Greenville, S.C. plant followed the fungal outbreak last May.
