Two brands of peanut butter Peter Pan and Great Value have been recalled and pulled from store shelves as they have been linked to an outbreak in salmonella. The peanut butter was processed by ConAgra Foods in its plant in Sylvester GA. Salmonella poisoning can mimic food poisoning so it's important to consult a physician if you have any of the following symptoms: diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and dehydration.

I have had problems with diarrhea since October
of last year (2006). Have been eating Lomotil
medication like peanuts on some days. I've even
gone to doctor for advice and prescriptions. I buy
the Crunchy Peter Pan brand for myself, plus
I keep an extra jar of the Creamy Peter Pan on hand for overnight guests. I could eat it three
times a day so that tells you I really love
that stuff!
Presently, I have two open jars and two unopened
jars. Are the grocery stores going to return
money spent on 2111's? My jars all have that
number on the lid, although all stores use
4530000040,50,60 or 65 on receipts when checking patron's purchases.
How far back are you saying the salmonella is
present? Please Advise.
Sincerely,
Barb Daily
